life will never stop being a game of catch-up but, as you've reminded us all, there is no need to stop trying, to put our faith in Him and do our best. and just because we aren't the "best" at Arabic or the "best" at practicing Islam or the "best" at praying (let's be real, what even is the best except for what He's willed for us?) we are still equipped, InshAllah, to use whatever experience and knowledge we have to make this nauseatingly fast-paced game of catch-up to be more bearable for everyone around us. as you're doing for us, Allahumabarik 🫶
Ohh i love the ramadhan series of Sh. Omar Suleiman ! I actually consider him as a friend loool i have a lot of friends that don’t know about my existence btw🥲
I'm not up to date on the series either... but you're right! I also sometimes marathon these series at any time of the year.
Btw, I love loved the first episode, I cried a lot too haha. I mostly thought about my loved ones who've passed away. I thought, "Wow, it's like they're in another alternate reality," made me think of Marvel universe lool, it's quite comforting.
And and, I loved Alatltg (the title is too long), also made me cry, i am a big big cryer and i love that!
And if I had to recommend a series/podcast, it would be The Digital Sisterhood’s one <3
hahaha sis i should not have laughed but this first sentence was like reading my own thoughts, delusional but in the best of ways hahaha. and see now our love for the series has got us talking on substack, subhanAllah!
it is like an alternate reality isn’t it, it is comforting, and knowing we can make dua for those passed is even more comforting!
i have listened to that podcast before but i haven’t had it on my radar recently so this is the best reminder, JazakAllah Khair. thank you 🩵🩵
You really called me out on my TBR at the end lol, I guess this is my sign to bump ALatLTG up my list and read it after Ramadan. Even as someone born into Islam, so many of your reflections really hit a cord with me, thank you for sharing your insight. May the rest of your Ramadan be filled with just as much, if not more barakah than there has been so far <3

The relationship you have with your mother is also very touching <3, may Allah soothe your heart and fill it with joy! *sends a big big hug*

Ameen ya Rab, thank you and may Allah (swt) reward you 🤲🏻
