jeriiiiiii, i've read this so many times in the past couple of days. allahumma barik so beautifully written. i saw the post you referenced a few months ago and wow the poem it inspired. i have no words. i love it so so so much. i think it also feels personal in a way because i am from an island and when i imagine love, i imagine it as as the romance that happens between shore and waves. it really spoke to me. i love all the water imagery and metaphor. you have real talent mashaAllah, keep sharing this beautiful work 💜💜 May Allah bless you with a love far beyond your imagination in its beauty, peace, and mercy.
p.s. i totally would sit by a fence by the shore in that exact same position hahah
she probably used the poetry editing option which keeps the formatting. it's available in the drop down menu in the tool bar at the very end under "more"
romance is what happens between shore and waves... woah woah one second sameh. this is literally the perfect description of love in motion. thank you so much for your kind words they mean a lot truly. i always look forward to reading and learning from your comments! (there is always something to marinate from them haha) jazakAllah khair sis truly <3
May you find the most purest of love centered around your faith and Allah be what grounds your marriage. A love that outlives this dunya and continues in Jannah. Ameen.
Jeri, I loved so much. It made me smile and decreased my sadness. Love is the gentlest feeling that humanity must preserve and respect. And I love Fairoze. ✨💖 Thank you, Habibti!
i read this comment once before, and i knew i was coming back to read them again when i could take a moment to respond. i want to say thank you for sharing this thought sis! it means the world to me and more that your sadness is decreased through my words. may Allah (Swt) bring all to you that will make you happy and closer to Him <3
This is one of the most wholesome and beautiful pieces I've read on the topic of love. I usually have a scale of varying feelings between detest and admiration when it comes to writing or reading about love/romance because, for me, it has to be pure and profound. That's what I consider its truest form.
Love is not shallow, or perfectly wrapped in ribbon words that melt the heart momentarily.
It's a consistent commitment to prove you'll show up, to learn, to understand, to empathise, to hold and to fill in when the voids expand because of life.
i know i liked this post quite a few days ago but sometimes i keep coming back to it to read it again. you write about love so beautifully. may you find the love you pray for :)
im always surpised like u read the first part and u go dang dope peom then u somehow start another poem and ur like oh okay so this is the main poem then u have a summary poem at the end and ur like oh okay so that was just a two course appetizer to the real deal haha
your images with the paragraph caption is a jeri trademark atp. wouldnt be a post by you without it.

hehe hi yes mahmood was right! i write it using the poetry block format. however, do note that readers cannot res-tack those sections individually
